Blue Smithwicks Engine
built circa 1847,
Maker unknown.
By tradition purchased by Mr. Smithwick from the Manchester Exhibition and used at his brewery in Kilkenny.

Lodge Park Walled Garden, will be holding a Coffee Morning from 9.30-1.00pm for Daffodil Day with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society.  Fine display of Spring Bulbs and Shrubs, Refreshments available.  All welcome.

 

Friday, 1st June 2012.

Open Evening, Garden and Museum, 5-8pm

Entrance €5 to be donated to KWWSPCA, refreshments will be available. All welcome.

 

Saturday, 30th June 2012.

Annual Musical  B-B-Q, with children sports, in aid of the Celbridge Multiple Sclerosis Self-Help Group, 7pm.

Newcomen Celebration
Celebrating the Tercentenary of the Invention of the Steam Engine erected at Castle Dudley in 1712  by Thomas Newcomen. 1663- 1729.

With a Stationary Steam Demonstration, and a temporary display of part of the Collection of Ron Jarvis 1910 – 2010 of early steam, stationary and road vehicles, built by him as working models, and to be displayed permanently at the Steam Museum.
